Mettler Arabel

I was born in 1980 in the Seeland and grew up there. After school, I did a nursing apprenticeship and developed a keen interest in women’s health.

Later, while working in an institution for disabled people, I became interested in the subject of sexuality and disability, and trained as a sexual health assistant in the fields of education, health and social work.

Thanks to this training, I was then able to work for 6 years at the sexual health consultation center in Biel.

In 2018, my daughter died in my womb on the day she gave birth. This prompted me to join the Regebogen Suisse association and found a Papillon self-help group in Biel. Since then, the group has accompanied and supported me on my life’s journey. Thanks to open exchanges, I can always learn from other parents involved.
